Rory Nafziger : She/Her : ATL
I’m a twenty something weirdo who likes cartoons and guzzling tea. I’ve been drawing for some time now, having started ever since I could hold a crayon. I was mostly self-taught up until my sophomore year of college, when I made the switch from a History major to an Art Major. I have dabbled in and studied various forms of digital and traditional art at North Georgia College and State University and Chattahoochee Technical College; though I never graduated. I specialize in character design and illustration, and I do have minimal background in some graphic and logo design.
I married my husband in October of 2011, and it’s been quite the trial learning to balance my personal goals and hobbies with married life.
I get excited about a lot of silly things, and sometimes I get angry at even sillier things. If there is anything I’ve learned, it’s that I’m far from perfect, but that’s alright. In the end, all that matters is sharing love and things you love with people you love. Hell, share with people you don’t love. That’s cool too.
I kind of have an obnoxious laugh, and I have a hard time controlling my volume. That’s okay, right? I’m also a sucker for great music, good books, and the occasional video game… even though playing too long gives me motion sickness. Oh cats! Yes, I like those too. Have I mentioned tea yet? I’m going to mention it again, because that stuff is tasty.
Q. What inspires you?
A. Many things, from music to literature, and other visual art forms.
Q. Do you do trades/requests/DeviantARTpoint commissions?
A. I only trade with friends/artists I trust to have a solid reputation for finishing trades. I do not have time to take requests, though in my Livestreams I like to give art away sometimes. I also do not normally offer point commissions, with only rare exceptions that I will announce.
Q. Can I sell prints of something you drew for me?
A. I'm afraid the answer to that is no. While you might hold copyright over an original character, the work is still mine and I hold rights over it. It is not possible to purchase the right to distribute commercially at this time.
Q. Can I remove your watermark or signature from your artwork?
A. This is also a big no. However, if you have commissioned me, you will receive a copy of the work without the watermark. The reason I mark my work is to protect it from theft. Not only does the watermark protect my art, but it protects your characters/IP as well.
Q. What tablet do you use/recommend?
A. I started on a Wacom Bamboo in 2007. I upgraded to an Intuos 5 in 2012, and I have had it ever since!
Q.Do you have Skype/Discord/IM?
A.I do, but I do not give out that information freely as it is for personal use and not for conducting business.
Q. Do you RP?
A. Yes, but mostly with a small group of folks whom I trust implicitly. Sometimes I like to try something new or try RPing with someone new, but please do not be offended if I decline a request!
